BIOGRAPHY

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on the 24th of April in 1973. He is from a middle class family background. His brother Ajit Tendulkar took him to Mr. Ramakar Vitthal Achrekar who is a famous coach for young cricketers.

BEGINNING OF HIS CAREER:

Sachin played a school tournament and at that time school tournament was very famous. He built a world record partnership with Vinod Kambli. This innings changed his life. In five matches he scored 1028 runs and got “out only one time”.

At the age of 14 years, He was the youngest cricket player to play for his country in Ranji trophy with a century in his debut.

So he had been selected for a tour for Pakistan when he was 16 years old,in 1989. He is the youngest cricketer to play for his country. At that time Pakistan has legendary fast bowlers like Wasim akram and Younis . He needed to face them and managed to come out with some runs .

His first test match century was vs  England ,119 runs- not out at age of 17. After that 52- not out vs Pakistan in 1991. 148 runs - not out vs Australia in 1992. He is the youngest player to play against Australia.

His First International Odi century against Australia on 9th September 1994 and scored 110 runs.

CRICKET WORLD CUP - 1996

  It is also called as wills world cup . India lost in semi finals against srilanka .  Sachin tendulkar scored most runs in that tournament[523 runs]
In those days people mindset was like IF SACHIN IS OUT , INDIA IS OUT.

LEADERSHIP

Sachin was the captain in 1996 at his  age of 23 . He did  his job well still couldn’t get good results. Due to lot of controversy and pressure. He was unable to concentrate on his batting. So he resigned from captaincy .

In 1998 ,It was a great rivalary between India vs Australia and Sachin vs warne. Australia had  great bowler like Shane warne.. In 1st innings sachin got out by warne. He had been totally down. But in 2nd innings He scored 155 runs not out.

 CRICKET WORLD CUP - 1999

It was hosted in England. Before the second match against Zimbabwe . Sachin got a news that his father passed away due to severe attack so he get back to home. Sachin mother told him that he need to get back to world cup  because his team needed him. He came back to England. India faces kenya.  Sachin scored 140 runs, the most emotional moment in his life.

DARKEST YEAR FOR INDIAN CRICKET

India tour of south Africa in 2000. Hansie cronjie was a south Africa captain accused for match fixing. Then he had been banned for life time. In later CBI investigation, Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddhin was the person who introduced Hansie cronjie to the bookies. In that same tour last day of second test match Referee Mike Dennes  fined Indian players for excessive appealing.

Sachin was suspended to play one game for ball tampering by Dennes.
It was a dark year for Indian cricket players and Indian cricket fans. Sachin was so depressed by that time. There has been many controversy. But India needed a come back.

GREAT COMEBACK

Then there was a test match between India vs Australia in 2001. unfortunately India lost in 1st test match. But in 2nd test match there was a wonderful partnership between VVS laxman and Dravid and they won that test series. India was back on the game.
After that India won NatWest series in  2002 at lords.

Cricket world cup -2003

 India has a great team. Sachin played well throughout that tournament. He got 623 runs in that tournament. But unfortunately they lost the world cup. Sachin got man of the series and golden bat in that tournament.
In 2005 , sachin breaks Sunil Gavaskar's record of most test century

CRICKET WORLD CUP -2007

Greg chappel was the Indian coach from 2005 to 2007. In 2007 one day world cup Greg chappel changes the Indian batting and bowling order. so the total team has been collapsed and Indian team had been eliminated in a group stage itself.
After that Gary Kirsten was appointed as the new Indian coach from 2008 to 2011.

HISTORICAL MOMENT – DOUBLE CENTURY
               
In  Feb 24  2010,There was a match between India vs south Africa  Sachin scored 200 not out in that match. He was the first player to score double century in one day international cricket.

CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011- MEMORABLE WORLD CUP FOR INDIAN CRICKET
                             

 IN 2011 world cup , it is the last world cup for SachinTendulkar. The final match was  India vs Srilanka held at Mumbai. India won that match. They won the world cup under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni after 28 years of struggle. It is still a wonderful world cup memory for Sachin  and his fans.

100th CENTURY – WORLD RECORD

In 2012 He scored his 100th century against Bangladesh. It is a unbeatable world record .

RETIREMENT

IN 18TH NOVEMBER 2013 ,Sachin announced his retirement. His last words made the whole world to cry.

He had a lot of struggles in his career. But he never lost his hope. He chased his dreams. Now ,he is the GOD OF CRICKET
