Ace-filmmaker Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan is a well-known Hollywood filmmaker. He is regarded as the greatest filmmakers of all time. He makes astonishing films, as no one does. He not only makes us spellbound by his films but also by the way he does that. Some of his greatest movies are The Batman trilogy, Inception, Interstellar and Tenet [which is yet to be released]. His films are of epistemological and metaphysical themes.
Christopher Nolan went on to crash a real Boeing 474 plane in the film instead of using the CGIs. It is not only the first time he has shocked as with his way of film-making and has done this before. Here are some interesting facts.
• In the movie Interstellar we all were left amazed with the black holes and wormholes. For this American Physicist Dr Kip Throne was brought. He collaborated with the visual effects team and created a whole new CGI software to make accurate computer simulations. This program took about 800 terabytes of data and some individual frames took about 100 hours to render.
• To shoot a particular cornfield scene in the movie Interstellar, Christopher Nolan went out to grow 500 acres of corn which he had from producing Man of Steel in 2013. But later the corn was sold and was made profit from.
• When Interstellar was made in Iceland, Anne Hathaway’s astronaut suit got unzipped and he suffered from hypothermia.
• For Inception he was not willing to research dreams, instead he used his own experiences to write the script.
• And for a dream scene in the Inception, in which a van falls off the bridge in slow motion, this particular shot was taken for months. Actors who played lead role in this film said that he could have done this in one day and would have taken some others shoots. But he did in many locations and had to make a different move each and every time.
• In the movie Tenet [which is yet to be released in the year 2021], this title is the metaphor of the theme, just as we would see in the trailer time moving ahead and backward, even the title means the same when we read it from both the directions.
